Forecast Discussion:

We had a spectacular start to the Memorial Day Weekend here on Delmarva with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s. Unfortunately the weekend won't end the way that it started. Tonight showers and thunderstorms will move into the region dumping heavy rainfall on the region. Clouds stick around as we head into Sunday with temperatures in the low 80s. Thunderstorms are once again expected during the evening and overnight hours on Sunday. Cloudy skies and showers are expected on Memorial Day with temperatures cooling into the upper 70s due to an easterly wind off the Atlantic. Temperatures do warm back into the mid to upper 80s on Tuesday with partly to mostly cloudy skies. The drier weather lasts until Thursday when we see the chance of thunderstorms return to the forecast. Thursday and Friday will each be warm and humid with highs in the low to mid 80s.We have seen a lot of rain across the region over the last 72 hours and even the last 7 days.

Looking ahead to next weekend, we will continue to see shower and thunderstorms chances with cooler temperatures expected to end the weekend.
