Delaware Electric Cooperative is asking users to "Beat the Peak" Sunday from 5pm to 7pm. Turn off any unnecessary lights and delay using appliances like your dishwasher or washing machine. Turning the thermostat down a few degrees can also significantly lower how much energy you are using.

Tonight: Mainly rain for most of the peninsula, the mix of sleet/freezing rain/rain in northwest Delmarva transitions to rain by midnight at the latest. Low: 35. Winds: E-SE 10-15 mph.
Monday: Periods of rain throughout the day. High: 50. Winds: NW-E 8-16 mph.
Monday Night: On and off rain showers with some mixing possible before dawn. Low: 35. Winds: NW 8-16 mph.
Tuesday: Rain lingers around with a possible mix of snow/sleet/freezing rain/rain at the end of the event in the afternoon. High: 38. Winds: N-NW 5-15 mph.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy. High: 36. Winds: NW 10-20 mph.
The mess of wintry mess will continue the transition to all rain as the temperature should continue to go up throughout the evening and overnight. We will have a mainly rain event for Monday and most of Monday evening. At the end of this event, before the storm moves away, we will see another period of snow/sleet/freezing rain mix across Delmarva. We will see a break for a few days with cold conditions before the next storm moves in for the end of the next weekend.
