High pressure remains in control over the eastern United States and will continue to do so through Monday evening. This area of high pressure will result in mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with overnight lows in the low 40s and afternoon highs in the mid 60s. Beginning Monday afternoon, the area of high pressure will begin to be nudged out of the area by an area of low pressure approaching from the southwest. As the high is pushed out of the area, the winds will begin to pick up. The clouds and rain will arrive late Monday night and Tuesday. The clouds, rain, and wind will continue until early Wednesday before moving out. In total, 0.25"-0.75" of rain will fall with locally higher amounts. Skies will clear as we head into Thursday with temperatures remaining near average before another weak area of low pressure passes near our area on Friday. This will bring the chance of a few showers as we head into Friday night and early Saturday.Looking ahead to next weekend, we may start out with some showers early Saturday before clearing during the afternoon hours. Afternoon highs will reach the mid 60s. Sunday will feature mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s.
