

A Beat The Peak Alert will be in effect 3-7 pm, today. The Delaware & Choptank Electric Cooperatives are asking their members to turn off all unnecessary lights and appliances, and delay using dishwashers, washing machines, clothes dryers and hot water during alert hours to help "Beat The Peak".

Thursday Night: Cloudy with passing showers and a few thunderstorms. Low 61. Wind: SW 8-16 mph. Heavy downpours possible at times. Rain chance 80%.
Friday: Cloudy and cooler. Occasional showers. Breezy with some sun possible PM. Wind: W/NW 11-22 mph. Rain chance 50%.
Forecast Discussion:
A warm, and quite humid airmass will remain over Delmarva through Thursday. An approaching cold front will bring showers and scattered thunderstorms to Delmarva Thursday and Thursday night. Look for cooler weather with lingering showers on Friday. It will remain breezy through Friday and into Saturday.
Skies will clear on Saturday with breezy and cooler conditions. Sunshine and pleasant weather will continue through the entire Memorial Day weekend. Highs will reach the low to mid 70's and nights will see lows in the low 50's. Temps. will be slightly below average for late May.
