GREENWOOD, Del. - Delaware State Police say they have arrested a 26-year-old man for robbing a bank in Greenwood on Saturday morning.
Police arrested Toshawn L. Furlow, 26, of Milford and charged him with second-degree robbery and theft.
At 8:30 a.m., troopers responded to the Discover Bank at 502 E. Market Street in reference to a bank robbery alarm. Troopers say that a black male entered the bank, approached a teller and handed a note which read, "30 seconds give me money or die."
The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect along with a dye pack. Police say the suspect then left the scene in a vehicle.
According to investigators, a witness saw the suspect leave through Greenwood and told troopers. Authorities say one hour after the robbery, the suspect was found in the parking lot of the Food Lion in Harrington with a large sum of money enclosed in bill wrappers.
Furlow was locked up at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $5000 secured bond.
Detectives with DSP say Furlow was linked to a burglary and theft which occurred at Webb Acres in Farmington which was included in his arraignment.
