WOODLAND BEACH, Del.- Authorities have arrested a third man accused of growing more than 350 marijuana plants near Woodland Beach Wildlife Area.
Delaware State Police arrested 19-year-old Harvey Coblentz on Tuesday. He is charged with manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling, second degree conspiracy, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond information was not immediately available.
Fish and Wildife agents with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Enviromental Control saw 54-year-old Gary Paulson of Dover acting suspiciously Monday afternoon. So a police dog and the officers tracked him to 137 marijuana plants.
Delaware State Police joined the investigation and a search at Paulson's home turned up 222 more marijuana plants along with a pistol, three rifles and two shotguns.
Paulson is charged with manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance within 300 feet of a recreation area, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling and second degree conspiracy. He is being held in the Delaware Correctional Center in Smyrna in lieu of $18,000 bond.
Police also arrested 19-year-old Eli Yoder, also of Dover, at Paulson's home on Stardust Drive. He is charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling, second degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on unsecured bond.
