CENTREVILLE, Md.- Authorities have ruled as accidental a Tuesday morning fire that caused thousands of dollars in damage to a Centreville home.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says the two-alarm blaze, which was reported by a neighbor, occurred at around 9:10 a.m. at a single-story, single-family home on 211 Coon Box Road.

It took 38 firefighters from the Goodwill, Grasonville, Kent Island, Queenstown, Church Hill, Sudlersville, Crumpton, Chestertown and Queen Anne-Hillsboro fire companies approximately 45 minutes to get the fire under control.

There were no reported injuries. The blaze caused an estimated $100,000 in fire, smoke and water damage to the structure. It also caused $25,000 in damage to the home's contents.

The Red Cross is assisting the home's displaced family of four adults.
