Trappe Man Killed in Crash

TRAPPE, Md.- Maryland State Police are investigating a Friday afternoon crash that claimed the life of a 72-year-old Trappe man.

Police say that at around 5:24 p.m., James Paul Brown was traveling on eastbound Route 50 in the area of Sanderstown Road in Trappe when his vehicle crossed over the median strip and into the westbound lanes of Route 50 before finally crashing into a fence. Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in this crash and the Brown was the only occupant in the vehicle, according to police.
