Body of 11-Year-Old Recovered After Boating Accident

KENNEDYVILLE, Md.- Maryland Natural Resources Police say they have recovered the body of an 11-year-old girl who went missing after a boat accident on the Sassafras River near Kennedyville.

Police say the girl's body was found Saturday morning, about half a mile away from where the accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The Coast Guard, Maryland State Police aviation and area volunteer fire companies assisted in the search.
