CAMDEN, Del.- Delaware health officials are telling students to take precautions as the state prepares for the comeback of the H1N1 virus. High school students are not panicking but they have a lot of questions about the virus.

"This past summer I actually had the swine flu. It was really annoying. I stayed on the couch and didn't move. I think there is the potential for it to come back stronger than I had it," said Caesar Rodney High School senior Jonathan Abbott.

After dealing with the virus before, Abbott and other students asked health officials this week how to avoid getting sick again. Students are being told to wash their hands and to stay home if they are sick.

The student health center at the high school is also working on a letter to parents about a vaccine for the H1N1 virus. State officials said the vaccine should be available to students by the middle of October.

"When the vaccine comes out, I'll probably have my mom take me to the doctor to get that," Abbott said.

Many other students said they will get the vaccine too. Students said they are watching where they put their hands and are being cautious.

"I'm washing my hands several times a day, coughing in my sleeve, things like that,' said senior Sarah Harris.

State officials said they also plan on setting up more flu clinics this year.
