SNOW HILL, Md.- Maryland State Police say an adult and two children were hurt after the minivan they were in slid off the roadway and hit a tree near Snow Hill on Tuesday morning.

At around 7:48 a.m., troopers responded to a reported single vehicle accident on southbound Whitesburg Road, south of Oak Hill Road.  Upon arrival, troopers discovered a 2001 Toyota Sienna located off the left side (northbound) of the road in the woods. Police say an investigation revealed that the Toyota Sienna was traveling on southbound Whitesburg Road south of Oak Hill Road and was traveling to fast for conditions and lost control of the vehicle.  Police say that as a result, the Toyota Sienna traveled across northbound Whitesburg Road and off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

The adult driver of the minivan, identified by police only as Uyen Buu, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Two children, ages 5 and 6, were transported to PRMC and then flown to John Hopkins in Baltimore.
