DELMAR, Md.- Delmar police say a Salisbury man is facing multiple drug charges after officers caught him with 40 bags of suspected heroin.
Police say that on Monday, Oct. 26, officers received information that the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Brandon Givens, would be delivering a quantity of heroin to the Delmar area.
Officers say they found Givens at a gas station located on the corner of Connelly Mill Road and Ocean Highway. According to police, he was observed throwing a candy wrapper on the ground. Police say the officers picked up the candy wrapper and found it to contain 40 bags of suspected heroin. According to police, further investigation revealed that Givens had just sold a quantity of oxycodone pills to a person in the area.
Givens was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, distribution of Schedule II narcotic, possession of heroin and possession of oxycodone. He is being held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $150,000 bond.
