MILFORD, Del.- Authorities say a Milford man is behind bars after a 2-month-long investigation led to his arrest Tuesday on numerous drug and related charges.
Police say 26-year-old Rontise Dorsey was contacted during a traffic stop on Buccaneer Boulevard that ultimately resulted in a search warrant being executed at his home in the Brightway Commons apartment complex.
Police say the search of Dorsey's home resulted in the seizure of an undisclosed amount of cash, a vehicle and an undisclosed amount of crack cocaine.
Dorsey was charged with delivery of a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance, delivery of a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance with 1,000 feet of a school, maintaining a vehicle for keeping controlled substances, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal impersonation, driving while suspended, loud music from a vehicle, no valid insurance in possession, theft under $1,000, disorderly conduct, shoplifting and criminal mischief.
Several of the charges resulted from active warrants out of the Milford Police Department and Delaware State Police for prior unrelated incidents.
Dorsey was also wanted by the Sussex County Family Court, the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas, the Sussex County Superior Court, the Kent County Court of Common Pleas and the Kent County Superior Court.
He is being held in the Sussex Correctional Institution on a secured bond.
