Thousands of Dollars in Cash Stolen in Dollar General Burglary

DENTON, Md.- Denton police are investigating the theft of more than $6,000 in cash taken from a safe during a burglary at the Dollar General store on South Fifth Avenue.

On Oct. 31, employees of the Dollar General contacted police to report that an unknown suspect or suspects forced entry into the store, gained access to the office, forced open a safe and removed approximately $6,100 in cash.
