OCEAN CITY, Md.- Ocean City police have captured a suspect wanted in West Virginia on child pornography and related charges.
On Saturday, Oct. 31, West Virginia State Police contacted Ocean City police and asked officers to be on the lookout 45-year-old Roger Stotler of Martinsburg, W. Va., who was wanted for possession of child pornography and sexual assault of a minor.
Ocean City police officers on patrol were able to locate the vehicle that matched the description of Stotler's given to them by West Virginia State Police.
The vehicle, which was unoccupied, was parked in the area of 112th Street and Coastal Highway. Officers continued to search through the area and were able to locate Stotler walking on Coastal Highway.
Stotler was taken into custody and held without bond. He was transferred to the Worcester County Jail were he is awaiting extradition to West Virginia.
