SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with two back-to-back business burglaries that occurred early Thursday morning in Salisbury.
Salisbury police say that at around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a reported burglary at Thirsty's convenience store on Snow Hill Road. When officers arrived on the scene, they observed that an unknown suspect had broken the glass out of the front door of the business and walked inside. The suspect took cigarettes from the business and fled the scene.
Police say that later in the morning, at around 4 a.m., officers responded to another reported burglary, this time at the Center City Exxon on South Salisbury Boulevard. Officers discovered that the suspect had broken out the glass of the front door of this business and went inside. Police say the suspect took several items from behind the counter before fleeing from the area.
Investigators say video surveillance from these businesses indicated that the same suspect was responsible for both burglaries. This suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-9, medium build, light facial hair, wearing blue jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt with large black stripes horizontally across the front.
Anyone with information concerning these incidents or is able to identify the suspect in the video surveillance photos is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at (410) 548-3165 or Crime Solvers at (410) 548-1776.
