SEAFORD, Del.- A rabid cat recently attacked several people in the Seaford area.
One resident, who lives on the line of Seaford and Blades, said a stray cat bit four people in her neighborhood.
Although the rabid cat is dead, the Sussex County Health Department told those involved to get rabies shots.
Another neighbor who was bitten said she saw the rabid cat bite another cat.
Some community members are worried there are other cats around that may also rabid.
Lisa Borkoski said, "There's a lot of kids in the neighborhood and this cat wouldn't stop, I mean a child could be torn up bad before an adult could get to it and that cat didn't just get it out of thin air something gave it to it, so there's something else out there with it."
The Health Department has begun picking up stray cats in the area.
