LAUREL, Del.- Delaware State Police are asking the public’s help in locating a Laurel man wanted in connection with a series of burglaries.
Police say that for several weeks now, detectives have been investigating several burglaries of storage units at Trussum Pond Self Storage in Laurel. According to investigators, the break-ins occurred on Sept. 27, 30 and Oct. 24.
The investigation led to the identification of 46-year-old Marc R. Wells of Hitch Pond Road in Laurel as the suspect. Police say that on Nov. 11, detectives, armed with a search warrant, went to Wells’ home and recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen property, including a 1995 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Troopers say detectives also recovered electronic items and power tools.
Wells was not home at the time of the search warrant and they have been unable to locate him since.
Warrants are currently on file charging Marc Wells with several counts of burglary (felony) and receiving stolen Property (felony). Anyone who may know of his whereabouts is asked to call Troop 5 at (302) 337-8253.
