Salisbury Man Arrested on Prescription Fraud Charges

SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities have arrested a Salisbury man accused of trying to pass a forged prescription for the painkiller oxycodone at a city pharmacy.

Salisbury police say the incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m., Nov. 14 at the Pemberton Pharmacy. Police say officers found that 23-year-old Michael Douglas Perry Jr. had attempted to fill a prescription for a quantity of oxycodone by presenting a forged prescription to the pharmacist.

Perry was charged with attempting to obtain a prescription by forgery, uttering a forged prescription, uttering a stolen prescription form and forgery of a prescription. He was turned over to the custody of Wicomico Central Booking.
