SALISBURY, Md.- The storm is not over for some people on Delmarva. Many homeowners are calling repair companies to fix their leaky roofs.
Sean Fahey of Peninsula Roofing Company said his business has received more than 100 calls in the last few days. Some people need shingles replaced, others homes have leaking roofs that are causing major damage.
Peninsula Roofing had crews all over Delmarva on Monday from Queen Anne's County to Ocean City. Fahey recommends homeowners fix any leaks because a small one can quickly become a big problem.
According to Fahey, people may be tempted to do the repair work themselves but that can be dangerous.
"The last thing you want to do is try and go on a roof, especially when it's wet and slippery and have a problem," he said.
Fahey noted that the average repair bill is about $200 to $300.
