

Terrence M. TrottmanDOVER, Del.- Delaware Capitol Police are looking for an 18-year-old Dover man wanted for escaping from the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
Police say Terrence M. Trottman escaped from the Sheriff's Office at approximately 10 a.m. He is described as a black male, 5-foot-8, 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a muscular built.
Investigators say that after he was locked up in the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for violation of probation, Trottman was secured to a bench with handcuffs while he awaited transport to prison by a sheriff's deputy. Police say Trottman slipped out of the handcuffs and escaped from the courthouse.
Trottman is believed to have ties to Capitol Park in Dover, Smyrna, and Washington, D.C. A warrant for his arrest has been issued by Justice of the Peace Court for third-degree escape.
Police say Trottman should be considered dangerous. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Trottman is urged to use caution, avoid contact and call 911.
