ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy men's basketball head coach Billy Lange has announced that the 2010-11 Navy men's basketball schedule has been finalized. The schedule features six non-conference home games, an appearance in the 2KSports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer, a contest in the Verizon Center as part of the BB&T Classic and five match-ups against teams that played in the postseason a year ago.

Just two of Navy's first 12 games will be played in Alumni Hall.

Navy will open the 2010-11 season on Nov. 8, with an ESPNU tilt at Texas as part of the 2KSports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. The contest will tip off at 9:00 pm (ET) from Austin, Texas.

The Mids will remain on the road for a return game to Buffalo on Nov. 13, beginning at noon. The Bulls defeated Navy, 63-53, last year in Alumni Hall.

Navy's home opener will come three days later (Nov. 16; 7:00 pm) against NCAA D-III member Neumann University. The Knights advanced to the final of their conference tournament a year ago, en route to a 16-13 record.

The Mids will then have just one home in the next month, beginning Nov. 19. The Mids head west to Irvine, Calif., for three games in three days as part of the regional rounds of the 2KSports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. Navy will battle UC Irvine on Nov. 19, Louisiana Tech on Nov. 20 and Seattle University on Nov. 21.

Navy returns to the area to face Towson on Nov. 24, in the Towson Center. Navy's lone home game during the month-long stretch comes on Saturday, Nov. 27, with a 7:00 pm clash with Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Navy will then begin another four-game swing away from Annpolis, beginning on Monday, Nov. 29, at Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, Md. For the third straight year, Navy will then compete in the BB&T Classic on Dec. 5, facing off against George Washington in a power-packed tripleheader at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. American will face Florida at 2:30 pm, Navy and George Washington will duke it out at 5:00 pm and Temple and Maryland will square off at 7:30 pm. All three games will be televised by MASN.

Two days later on Nov. 7, Navy returns a game to Coppin State in Baltimore, and the Mids will end their roadswing with a Friday, Dec. 10 contest at Mercer.

Following a break for final exams, Navy will return home for its longest homestand of the season, a five-game stint beginning with Elon on Dec. 22. On Dec. 30, the Mids host Long Island, then battle Presbyterian on Jan. 2 and Longwood on Jan. 4.

Navy will begin Patriot League play on Jan. 8, hosting Bucknell at Alumni Hall, to conclude its five-game homestand. Navy travels to Lehigh and Lafayette on Jan. 12 and 15, hosts Holy Cross on Jan. 19, heads to Army on Jan. 22, returns home to face American on Jan. 26 and will conclude the first round of league play at Colgate on Jan. 29.

The home-away schedule is reversed in the second half of Patriot League play. Navy will host this year's Star Game with Army on Feb. 19.

The Patriot League dates and times are subject to change thanks to television appearances, which will be announced at a later date.

Season ticket packages start as low as $70 for adults and only $35 for kids ages 18 and under. Season-ticket holders also have the right to park in the Alumni Hall lot on gamedays. To secure your season tickets today, call the Navy Ticket Office at 1-800-US4-NAVY.
