HERSHEY, Pa. (AP)- Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., told a well-wisher at a labor gathering Tuesday that he may run for president in 2008.Following Biden's address at Pennsylvania AFL-CIO's biennial legislative conference, a conventioneer asked Biden, "When are you going to run for President?""I think next time I will," Biden responded.A spokesman for the senator said later that Biden is considering a run, but has much work to do before he reaches a decision."He wants to gauge whether his views and his vision have significant support in the party and across the country," said spokesman Norm Kurz. "And if he believes that they do, if his views are well-received, then he's inclined to do it."Biden briefly sought the 1988 Democratic nomination, but dropped out after charges that he had exaggerated his academic record and lifted sections of other politicians' speeches without attribution.
