Congressman Wayne Gilchrest
SALISBURY- U.S. Congressman Wayne Gilchrest, R- Md., on Wednesday said that American troops cannot abandon the Iraqi people, but the United States should have a timeline on when to pull troops out of Iraq.
"We shouldn't let the insurgents determine our policy," he said. "We should determine our own policy and we will be there for a certain period of time. This is what's it's going to be: two years or three years, then we will withdraw, gradually."
Gilchrest says there has been too much time invested and blood shed to pull out any time soon.
