San Jose, CA – November 27, 2019 /MarketersMedia/

According to the United States Department of Transporation, long-distance trips or those that are 50 miles or more increase by 54 percent during the six-day Thanksgiving travel period. Approximately 91 percent of these trips occur by personal vehicle. With more vehicles on the road, accidents are more likely to occur. Sadly, some men and women choose to drink and drive which can increase the likelihood of a collision. GJEL Accident Attorneys is offering free rides to individuals who choose to consume alcohol in an effort to help these men and women make a wise choice regarding getting behind the wheel.

“From November 27, 2019 at 5 pm to November 29, 2019 at 11 am, the firm will pick up the tab for any cab, Uber, or Lyft ride to help prevent drunk driving accidents. The person choosing to take advantage of this offer will receive up to $20 reimbursement for the ride and the ride must take place in one of the Northern California cities, such as those with GJEL Office Locations,” Casey Slate, spokesperson for the firm, explains.

According to Value Penguin, the Thanksgiving holiday was the fifth deadliest for the period between 2011 and 2015. 258 fatal accidents were reported on average each year during this time frame with the deadliest city being Los Angeles. With the help of a free ride, individuals find they can enjoy a few drinks over the holiday and still have a safe way to get home. Innocent drivers are protected when a person decides to take advantage of this program.

“All too often we see clients in our GJEL Injury Lawyers: Oakland Office that have been seriously injured in an accident with a drunk driver. To reduce the risk of this happening during what is supposed to be one of the happiest times of the year, we opted to start this program. However, men and women planning to use this program need to ensure they understand how it works,” Slate states.

Rides must take place in the Bay area, San Jose, Oakland, the Tri-Vally metro area, Fresno, or Sacramento. Furthermore, riders must be of legal drinking age and have a valid driver’s license. The voucher is good for one, one-way ride to a safe destination and only one reimbursement will be offered per household or Paypal email address. Submissions must be received by December 10, 2019 to be eligible for reimbursement.

“Visit the site to obtain your coupon or voucher today. A coupon must be obtained to be eligible for reimbursement and all payments will be made through Paypal. We want everyone to have a safe holiday, and this is one way we can work on achieving this goal. Visit our site today or stop by our GJEL Accident Attorneys Downtown San Jose Office for more information,” Slate declares.
