PRINCESS ANNE- The Maryland State Police are looking for a woman who was last seen on Friday, Feb. 3 at a Salisbury bus stop.
The police say that on Tuesday, Feb. 7, the Somerset Bureau of Investigation initiated a missing person investigation regarding Rhonda Lee Parks, 31, who is formerly from Somerset County.
The police say an initial investigation revealed that Parks was last observed at the Shore Transit bus station located behind the District Court Building located in Salisbury, on Friday Feb. 3, at approximately 10:30 a.m. The police say Parks at that time was wearing blue denim jeans, white Reebok tennis shoes, a white short sleeve dress shirt and carrying a black pocketbook. The police say that at this time Parks was believed to be on her way to the Crisfield area for pre-scheduled appointments. Parks did not arrive for those appointments and she has not been seen since Friday.
The police say that on Tuesday, Feb. 7, the State Highway Administration in Somerset County contacted the Maryland State Police regarding the discovery of personal effects believed to belong to Parks. The effects were located alongside Rt. 13 in Somerset County by a State Highway worker. The items were taken into custody by the Maryland State Police at which time they have been identified as belonging to Parks.
Parks has most recently been a resident of 4th St. in Ocean City, and has many friends and associates in the Salisbury, Princess Anne, and Crisfield areas.
The police believe foul play may be involved in Parks's disappearance. She is described as a white female, 5 foot 7, 235 pounds, blue eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white dress shirt.
