ELKTON, Md. (AP)- More than 30,000 Cecil County and Delaware residents were without power for nearly two hours Tuesday following an outage in Delaware.
Delmarva Power Company spokeswoman Merrie Street said the Delaware outage occurred at 1:15 p.m. and crews restored power by hooking to a Maryland circuit. That prompted a second outage that affected customers in Maryland and Delaware.
"The breakers flipped and took out customers in Delaware and Cecil County," Street said.
As a result, 15,387 customers didn't have power in Cecil County and 14,815 Delawareans lost power, she said.
