DOVER, Del. (AP)- Kent County residents who buy prescription drugs that aren't covered by their insurance can still save some money with a new discount card.
The Caremark pharmaceutical company contracts with pharmacies to accept the card to draw more business to their stores. The cards can be used at 59,000 pharmacies around the country and will result in an average 20 percent savings on prescriptions.
The cards are free and arrived in Kent County this week at pharmacies and county buildings.
The county qualifies for the card program because of its membership in the National Association of Counties.
