WYOMING, Del.- Delaware State Police are seeking three persons of interest in connection with a robbery that occurred at the Wild Quail Country Club in Wyoming on Friday, Feb. 22.
Police say three armed suspects entered the club house where an organized card game was taking place. The suspects were described as possibly two black males and one white male who were armed with two handguns and one shotgun.
The victims were ordered to lie on the ground, where two of the victims were eventually assaulted. These victims sustained minor injuries but did not require any medical attention. The victims were then tied up and had their faces covered.
Police say the suspects removed an undisclosed amount of money and portable electronic devices from the victims and then fled in a small passenger vehicle with a loud muffler. The vehicle was last seen leaving the club house through the development of Wild Quail in the direction of Hazletville Road.
During the investigation, crime scene technicians recovered evidence left behind by the suspects. Police say through investigative measures, it was determined these items were purchased at Camden Wal-Mart. Troopers were able to work with Wal-Mart security in developing persons of interest through video surveillance.
The suspects were described as each wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black ski masks and black gloves. The victims' ages ranged from 66 to 33 and were from various towns and cities in Delaware and Maryland.
