DOVER, Del.- Two Tuesday morning fires destroyed property at a Kent County park and investigators do not consider what happened an accident.

Tidbury Creek Park is a busy place on a nice day, it is full of people walking and people fishing. But Tuesday, it became a place of destruction.

Officials say the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company was called there just after midnight when neighbors said they saw flames coming from the park.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says there were actually two separate fires at the park: one at the bridge, the other near the pavilion, and both were intentionally set.

Residents who live next to the park say they are really upset people would destroy such a nice place.

"My son comes down here, my grandchildren live up there, they're always down here fishing. It's not right, whoever did this," said neighbor Deborah Pearson.

Witnesses say they saw three people running from the fires, but the State Fire Marshal's Office says the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about these fires, call the State Fire Marshal's Office at (302) 739-4447.
