DOVER, Del.- A Felton man is facing shoplifting and related charges after being accused of stealing cologne from a department store and then leading police on a high-speed chase.
Dover police say that on Friday, Nov. 28 at 1:30 p.m., 22-year-old Christopher Russom stole cologne from the Sears in the Dover Mall. Police say responding officers spotted Russom leaving the mall in a red Ford Mustang. Police started to pursue Russom and discontinued the chase, due to traffic conditions.
Police were able to obtain a registration number that led to Russom's arrest on Sunday, Nov. 30. Russom was charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest, second-degree reckless endangering, failure to stop on command, reckless driving and 11 other traffic-related charges. He was released after posting $11,400 secured bond.
