WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington Republican Christine O'Donnell says she is raising money for a U.S. Senate race.

O'Donnell, who lost a bid for the seat won by Vice President Joe Biden last fall, says she is starting early because she realizes not having enough money hurt her in the past. Biden ran for the senate seat and vice president at the same time. Ted Kaufman was appointed to the seat when Biden became vice president.

O'Donnell says she is making phone calls and sending out e-mails to supporters to raise money and plans a more formal announcement about her candidacy later on.
