Forecast Discussion:

It was a beautiful Thursday on Delmarva with lots of sunshine, low humidity, and temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. This beautiful weather sticks around for one more day before an area of low pressure develops to our south and rides up our coastline Saturday into Sunday. We will be looking at mostly cloudy skies and showers and thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday. It could become quite windy on Saturday, especially along the immediate coastline, where winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Once the low moves well to our north, the overall flow across the Eastern U.S. becomes out of the south. This southerly flow will bring quite a bit of moisture up to our area through the next week. Thunderstorms will be possible each day through next Thursday as temperatures warm into the mid 80s and we see dew points in the 70s. Rainfall amounts could wind up amounting to several inches by the end of next week.

This wet weather pattern does not look to be leaving the area anytime soon with this warm and wet weather likely continuing into the following weekend.
