Forecast updated on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 3:45am by Meteorologist Mike Lichniak.

Today: Scattered showers will linger throughout the day, some sunshine at times...the more sun we see, the better the possibility of a thunderstorm or two this afternoon. Breezy. Highs: 61-71. Winds: W-NW 10-20 mph.

Tonight: A couple lingering showers in the evening, otherwise it will be partly cloudy to mostly clear. Lows: 42-50. Winds: NW 5-15 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs: 62-72. Winds: W 5-15 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy with showers arriving in the early morning hours. Lows: 51-58. Winds: SE 5-15 mph.

Friday: Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of a few showers. Highs: 58-68. Winds: E 5-15 mph.

Saturday: Partly to mostly sunny, turning breezy late. Highs: 60-70. Winds: W-NW 10-20 mph.

Wednesday will be one of those odd weather days on Delmarva. It will be a day where we start with clouds and fog as moisture lingers from the rain last night. If and when the sun comes out, it will allow temperatures to soar with all this humid air in place. Expect some showers and even a few storms, all dependant on how much sunshine we do see. The actual low that is causing all these issues finally passes across Delmarva overnight tonight.

Most of Thursday is nice with temperatures staying where we should be for this time of year, around 70 degrees. Another little low pressure will develop Thursday night nearby and bring with it enough moisture to introduce the chance of a few showers into the forecast for the early part of Friday.

Once this chance of showers passes across on Friday, a monster ridge of high pressure...the kind you would find over Delmarva in the heart of summer sets up overhead. The weekend looks phenomenal with plenty of sunshine...though, Saturday will be the warmer day with temperatures into the low and mid 70s.....Sunday will just have a bit more cooler air. The really warm air will start to spill across the region on Monday and will lead to temperatures into the 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday.
