Julia Purnell was a Delmarva native, born in Snow Hill in 1843. She was the daughter of a general store owner and like many young girls at the time, she learned how to sew. But her sewing talents weren't what she became known for. Thanks to a bad fall, Julia Purnell became an artist at the age of 85. Today, Jim Duffy of Secrets of the Eastern Shore joins us on the Herls Bath & Tile set to tell us a little bit more about the Delmarva Native.
