Forecast Updated by Meteorologist Mike Lichniak on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 4:30pm.
Tonight: Mostly clear to partly cloudy. Lows: 36-47. Winds: NE-E 5-15 mph.
Monday: Partly cloudy and warmer. Highs: 64-74. Winds: E 5-15 mph.
Monday Night: Mostly clear. Lows: 40-48. Winds: SE-S 5-10 mph.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy with a chance of a couple showers late into the evening. Highs: 68-78. Winds: SW 5-15 mph.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy, breezy, and a bit cooler. Highs: 57-67. Winds: NW 15-35 mph.
The strong east wind that kept temperatures on the cool side for Easter Sunday will continue into Monday. It will actually keep some low-level cloud cover around the coast for much of the morning hours and a bit warmer. Where skies will be clear, temperatures will drop into the 30s. This is why we have the frost advisory up for half of the viewing area.
With mostly sunny skies and a push of warmer air from the south, inland locations should jump back close to 70 degrees on Monday. Even warmer weather expected on Tuesday ahead of a cold front that will bring a few showers late Tuesday evening.
A sharp contrast for Wednesday with a brisk northwest wind will keep temperatures below average much of the afternoon. This will only last a day, most everyone will be back into the 70s by Thursday and Friday.
