Recipe from Goldie Payne of Jonesboro, Ark.
Total Time: 30 - 45 minutes
1 lb. ground chuck
1 small head of green cabbage, chopped
1 small onion, diced
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
2 Tbls. of beef soup base
salt, black pepper, and garlic powder
1. Begin by cooking cabbage til tender (cover with water just over top of cabbage).
2. Brown ground chuck with onion, drain and add to the cooking cabbage with all other ingredients added at this point.
3. Simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes. Season to taste with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Servings: 10 - 12
