Delmarva Hospitals Welcome First Babies of the Year

SALISBURY, Md.- Several Delmarva hospitals welcomed their first babies of the new year on Friday morning.

The Eastern Shore of Virginia's lone hospital, Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, welcomed the birth of Brycen Joseph. Brycen, whose parents live in Nassawadox, was born at 12:19 a.m. and weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces.

Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury says its first baby of the year, Sara Cuatlatl-Tello, was born at 2:10 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces and was 21 inches long.

A short time later, Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del. welcomed the arrival of Romello Mitchell of Dagsboro, Del. He was born at 2:40 a.m. and weighed 7 pounds, 8.4 ounces.

Kent General Hospital in Dover, Del., welcomed its first baby of the year, a boy, at 5:41 a.m. Milford Memorial Hospital's first baby of the year, a girl, was born at 10:35 a.m.
