DOVER, Del. (AP)- Delaware state lawmakers have headed home after approving a new budget and voting on a host of bills on the last day of this year's legislative session.
The state Senate adjourned at 1:46 a.m. Thursday, and the House gavel fell 15 minutes later.
Among the bills approved before lawmakers recessed was a measure allowing certain victims of sexual abuse by a healthcare provider to file lawsuits that otherwise would have been barred by the passage of time.
Lawmakers also agreed to modify a new ban on use of handheld cell phones and other electronic devices while driving to allow truckers and other commercial drivers to use citizens band and two-way radios.
