SNOW HILL, Md.- The Worcester County Sheriff's Office says a Snow Hill man is dead following a Saturday afternoon crash.

Police say that shortly after 5 p.m., 48-year-old David Wayne Ardis was driving a Ford pickup truck north on Nassawango Road a high rate of speed. According to police, Ardis attempted to negotiate a curve but due to the excessive speed the truck left the roadway. The vehicle traveled down the shoulder of the road and struck several trees.
