Va. Woman Accused of Passing Phony Money at Salisbury Stores

SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury police have arrested a Norfolk, Va. woman accused of passing counterfeit money at several Salisbury businesses.

On Wednesday, 27-year-old Janet Hannah Perrin was extradited from Fairfax, Va. to Salisbury on an arrest warrant charging her with three counts of possession of counterfeit currency, three counts of manufacturing counterfeit currency, three counts of making image of U.S. currency, two counts of theft (under $1,000) and attempted theft (under $1,000).

According to investigators, Perrin passed more than 10 counterfeit $100 bills to businesses at the Centre at Salisbury mall and its surrounding area.

Following her arrest, Perrin was turned over to the custody of Wicomico County Central Booking.
