Bridgeville Drug Raids Lead to 6 Arrests

BRIDGEVILLE, Del.- Six people were arrested early Friday morning after 30 police officers from nearly half a dozen law enforcement agencies participated in simultaneous drug raids at three homes within the Elizabeth Cornish Landing off of Route 13 in Bridgeville.

Bridgeville police, who made the announcement, said the arrests were the result of a month-long undercover investigation into the illegal drug distribution activity in the area.

The simultaneous raids and subsequent searches were conducted with assistance from the special operations response of the Georgetown, Smyrna and Laurel police departments, as well as the Greenwood Police Department.  

Police said that during the search of the apartments, officers seized a substantial amount of marijuana and crack cocaine, along with numerous drug paraphernalia items.

The apartments searched Friday, were located on the 400 block of the Elizabeth Cornish Complex. The following suspects were charged as a result of the investigation:

  • Sanae B. Lee, 32, was charged with maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances; distribution, delivery, or possession of controlled substance within 300 feet of a park, recreation area, church or synagogue; second-degree conspiracy; agreement to engage in felony criminal conduct possession of a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of non-narcotic Schedule I controlled substance. Lee is being held in the Sussex Correctional Institution on $3,750 secured bail.
  • Willie W. Massey, 27, was charged with delivery of a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance; maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances; distribution, delivery, or possession of controlled substance within 300 feet of a park, recreation area, church or synagogue; conspiracy second degree; agreement to engage in felony criminal conduct possession of a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of non-narcotic Schedule I controlled substance. He is being held in SCI in lieu of $8,750 secured bail.      
  • Charles L. Long, 21, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a non-narcotic Schedule I controlled substance; maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances; distribution, delivery, or possession of controlled substance within 300 feet of a park, recreation area, church, or synagogue; second-degree conspiracy- agreement to engage in felony criminal conduct; possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a narcotics offense with a child in the dwelling. He is being held in SCI in lieu of $6,250 secured bail.
  • Lashonda Trice, 20, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a non-narcotic Schedule I controlled substance; maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances; distribution, delivery, or possession of controlled substance within 300 feet of a park, recreation area, church, or synagogue; second-degree conspiracy- agreement to engage in felony criminal conduct; possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a narcotics offense with a child in the dwelling. She is being held in SCI in lieu of $6,250 secured bail.
  • Larry Stewart, 54, was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and released with a criminal summons.
  • A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with delivery of a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance; maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances; distribution, delivery, or possession of controlled substance within 300 feet of a park, recreation area, church, or synagogue; second-degree conspiracy- agreement to engage in felony criminal conduct, possession of a narcotic Schedule II controlled substance and an outstanding Delaware Family Court warrant.
