Seaford Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of Minor

SEAFORD, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a Seaford man following accusations that he drugged a 17-year-old girl and then sexually assaulted her.

Randy L. Crum, 38, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with second-degree rape, two counts of delivery of (Zanax) a narcotic Schedule IV controlled substance and two counts of second-degree unlawful sexual contact.

According to police, Crum's arrest stemmed from an incident that at around 11 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, at his home located on the 8300 block of Nylon Avenue.

Investigators said that the 17-year-old victim, who is an acquaintance of Crum, was at his home when he gave her two Zanax pills. Police said it is alleged that Crum inappropriately touched the victim on two occasions while she was in a medicated state of mind.  
 
Following his arrest on the aforementioned charges, Crum was ordered held in the Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $14,000 secured bond.
