Recipe from Carolyn Delahoussaye of Jennings, La.
1/3 box graham crackers (finely crushed)
1 stick butter
1/4 cup sugar
16 oz. flaked coconut
1 can sweetened condensed milk
24 whole almonds
24 whole almonds
Place above ingredients in 9 x 13 pan. Mix, and pat down as for pie crust. Mix coconut and condensed milk and pour over crust. Arrange almonds on top of coconut mixture. Bake the bars for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and immediately cover with x. Spread the melted chips over the mixture. When cool, cut into squares. Tastes like Almond Joy candy.
