Updated: Police ID Woman Killed When Car Hits Del. Mobile Home

WYOMING, Del.- Delaware State Police have identified a Maryland woman who was killed Thursday when her car left the road in the town of Wyoming and hit a mobile home.

The woman has been identified as 71-year-old Estella M. Rochester of Greensboro, Md.

The accident happened at about 9:50 a.m. Thursday on Willow Grove Road (SR 10). Troopers said a 1991 Toyota Camry driven by Rochester was traveling west when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the road, traveled about 330 feet through a field and over a ditch before striking a mobile home.

Rochester was transported from the scene by EMS to Kent General Hospital in Dover where she was pronounced dead. Her body was turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. 
 
The owner of the mobile home that was struck by the Camry was inside the dwelling at the time of the crash, but was not injured.
 
This crash remains under investigation.
