








Ryan H. Marshall joined WBOC in October 2011 as the Weekend Sports Anchor. He comes to us from WJZ-TV in Baltimore, Maryland.
For the last five years, he was the voice of Morgan State University football as their Public Address Announcer. From September 2010 to October 2011, Ryan was also Football and Basketball Public Address Announcer for Baltimore City Public Schools Athletics, covering many of their largest games. He also did college football play-by-play commentary & basketball color commentary work on WEAA 88.9 FM in Baltimore, from March 2009 to October 2011.
During that same time, he was a freelance videojournalist. He has covered and filmed some of the biggest names in news and sports, like Blake Griffin, current NBA superstar & former NCAA Player-of-the Year; Shirley Sherrod, former USDA Georgia Director of Rural Development; Maryland Congressman Elijah E. Cummings; Jacob Lew, current White House Budget Director, and a host of others.
He also gained experience as a Sports and I-Team Intern at WBAL-TV (Baltimore) from May to August 2008. He was also a Sports Intern at WBFF-TV (Baltimore) from September 2008 to February 2009.
Ryan graduated from Morgan State University in 2009, with a communications degree. He is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Association of Black Media Workers. He was born in Washington, D.C., but raised in Indianapolis, IN.
During his free time, Ryan is usually playing basketball, hiking somewhere in the great outdoors, or at home watching another episode of CSI: Miami. He is also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and loves to sing. He's happy to be in the Delmarva Peninsula.
