Corrina Pysa joined the WBOC/FOX21 team in October 2011, and serves as weekend anchor/videojournalist. She comes to the Eastern Shore following a two-year adventure in Big Sky country, where she worked as an anchor/reporter for KFBB NewsChannel 5. One of Corrina's most memorable experiences in Montana was meeting the world's oldest man, the late Walter Breuning, who she describes as "inspirational." Originally from Connecticut, Corrina is excited to be back on the East Coast and looks forward to getting to know her new home and community!
Corrina graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut, where she received a dual bachelor of arts degree in communication sciences and psychology. While at UConn, she served as an anchor/reporter/writer for the news show of the student run television station, UCTV. She was also an active member of America Reads, UConn Soldier's Angels and Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, serving as public relations chair, and is a member of the Radio Television News Directors Association.
In the summer of 2007, Corrina was honored to intern at Fox News Channel in New York City, where she worked closely with Jane Skinner of Fox News Live.
Corrina has held numerous local titles within the Miss America Organization, and was first-runner up and overall interview winner in the 2008 Miss Connecticut Scholarship Pageant.
When she's not working, Corrina enjoys exploring new places, meeting new people, watching movies, being an eternal (UConn) Husky fan and cooking new recipes.
