Denton Approves Use of Speed Cameras

Updated:

DENTON, Md.- The town of Denton in Caroline County is the latest community on Delmarva to approve the use of speed cameras in school zones.

The town council approved the matter at their most recent meeting. The speed cameras will be placed with a half mile of schools within the town.

Town officials say the next step in the process is finding which speed camera company to install the cameras.

The cameras will catch people traveling over a designated speed limit. A ticket will then be mailed to the driver. Officials say it's unclear exactly when the cameras will be up and running.
