



TYASKIN, Md.- Authorities are investigating a Monday fire that caused thousands of dollars in damage to a mobile home in western Wicomico County.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze occurred at around 11 a.m. at a one-story mobile home located at 3334 Jesterville Road in Tyaskin.
It took 20 firefighters from the Westside, Hebron and Mardela Springs volunteer fire companies approximately half an hour to get the fire under control.
There were no reported injuries. Investigators said the fire caused an estimated $15,000 in damage to the home and another $3,000 in damage to its contents.
The fire was determined to have started in a front bedroom and its cause remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Salisbury Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal at (410) 713-3780.
