Propane Tanks Explode in Talbot County Fire

OXFORD, Md.- Authorities in Talbot County have launched an investigation after two 500-gallon propane tanks exploded during a Tuesday fire in Oxford.

The explosions occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on a property off on Otwell Road. Fire crews initially responded for a fire on the site. Officials said the tanks exploded only about one minute after firefighters arrived on the scene. 

There were no reported injuries. Officials said one barn was leveled and two others were damaged in the blast.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident.
