SALISBURY, Md. - Tim Tebow is perhaps one of today's most popular NFL players. ESPN's Sports Center used his name 160 times in a single one-hour broadcast. There's no doubt he plays hard on the field. But, are his beliefs and practices of "Tebowing" too much?
Ted Ramey of Mardela Springs, Md. said, "I think it's a great idea. I think everybody should have God in their life or something to believe in or makes you feel that you have a higher power to look up to and make yourself more confident in what you're doing."
Some think it is too much.
"Enough's enough, really. I want to watch football. I don't want to see your personal beliefs involved in the sport..After a while it's like, OK, get over yourself," said Al Johnson of Hebron, Md., when asked what he thinks of Tebow's actions.
One thing is for sure: whether you agree with Tebow's practices and beliefs or not, he has become a household name and a superstar in a quick time. Jerseys are flying off of store shelves left and right. However, the question remains: can football and religion co-exist?
