Family Dollar Store Robbed in Del.

CLAYMONT, Del.- Delaware State Police are looking for an armed suspect who robbed the  Family Dollar store on Philadelphia Pike in Claymont on Monday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m., as a male suspect entered the Family Dollar store and approached the 38-year-old female clerk at the sales counter. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then ran out of the store. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.

The suspect was described as white, 30-35 years of age, between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-3, 200-220 pounds, and average build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
