WEST OCEAN CITY, Md.- Police on Friday announced the arrest of a suspect accused of breaking into an adult store in West Ocean City several months ago.

William Charles Pfister, 21, of Sykesville, Md., is charged with second- and fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property under $500 and theft under $100.

Pfister's arrest stemmed from the Sept. 17 burglary of the Red Light District adult store on Route 50.

According to the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation, Pfister used a concrete block and garden hose to forcibly enter through the front glass door.

Investigators said that once inside the business, Pfister stole an adult toy valued at approximately $99.

Police said that video surveillance and DNA were taken from the crime scene and later analyzed. An analysis of the DNA recovered from the scene led to investigators identifying Pfister as the suspect.

Police said that during an interview with investigators, Pfister confessed to the crime.

He is currently being held on unrelated charges in the Carroll County Detention Center and will be transported to Worcester County to face the aforementioned charges.
