MECHANICSVILLE, Va. (AP) - Court documents reveal that the mother of 3-year-old twins found dead over the weekend with their father's body discovered them in her estranged husband's suburban Richmond home.
An affidavit states that an exhaust pipe from a van parked outside the Mechanicsville home was linked by tubing into the house. The affidavit was filed in connection with a search warrant.
Investigators have declined to say how the three died. They are awaiting the results of autopsies in the deaths of 40-year-old Robert D. King and twins Caroline and Madison King. Their bodies were found Saturday. The girls lived at a different address in Hanover County with their mother, Kristina Hooper.
The couple was amid divorce proceedings.
